I'd like to explore having the extra musical body from a keyboard in our "covers" Melore Wintjen JAM band. www.melore.com/band
We don't make much money after dividing the pay evenly, and we do play for free a number of times per year in support of fundraising events. We gig about once a month, summer's a bit more. The summer's we book only fun outdoor gigs. We try to practice together once a week (or less if we're all available). We sometimes share the cover's "you tube" link and work independently until we ultimately get together. A few of us in the band have some senior parent care priorities we work around. We're mostly looking for the right friendship chemistry. To tell you about us, we're all in our 50's age range located in the Middletown, Hazlet area, and our drummer relocated to Brick .We're friends and there's no drama.
We cover a very wide range of music, from Jack Johnson and James Taylor, Rob Thomas, Google Dolls, Pink, Sheryl Crow, Bonnie Raitt, Beatles, Billy Joel, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Melencamp, Clapton, Eagles etc. We're told frequently we perform a very nice collection of songs. We include some current new hits of the season playing on the radio as well.
We mostly perform as a 4 piece band or trio (when without drums). Myself male guitar and vocals, a Female vocalist (lead or harmonies), Bass player, and Drummer. Sometimes we ask friends to jump in for guitar leads. It's casual, we're flexible, we're not getting rich on this so it's mostly about the fun we're having.
Let me know if you have interest.
